Error codes

My 2004 jeep wrangler has been having some issues as of late. At first it displayed the code p0456, for the evap system. I am smelling an odor of fuel vapor when I start my Jeep. It also has a rough idle at first. The other night it took me several minutes to get it to start due to the extremely cold weather, and I just got a new battery. Recently the code p0301 came up for first cylinder misfire. Then today I checked and the code for oil pressure sensor and another one for fan regulator came up as well, the codes are 1489 and 0523. I am hoping that the latter two are a result of the repeated attempts to start my Jeep and that that affected it somehow. Any ideas as to what could cause all this would be great. I am hoping it is all the result of one component or two and that it will not cost several hundred dollars to fix. Thanks.

Any resolution on this?

I am getting p1489 and p0456. I just had my timing belt replaced (because it broke) this past weekend with water pump and pulleys. I didn't get these codes before this all happened. Any correlation? I have a 2004, 2.4l.

Im dont know if there is any correlation, but the code for my 2004 2.4L comes and goes. I should say that the check engine light comes and goes. It came on a while ago then maybe a week later it went off but the code was still there. A friend of mine cleared the code and after a few days the light came back on, same code. The light goes off again but code still stored. Its off at the moment. I have ordered an OEM gas cap to replace the factory one. I was not thinking that the gas cap was the issue, as it was always secured, but I have read that they can go bad, i.e. the gasket cracks or I guess some internal wear can cause a vacuum leak. It should be here soon and I will clear the code and put the new cap on and will see if the CE light comes back with p0456, which reads "very small leak" on the scan tool. I will let you know.

Well, this code (P0456) and engine light just came on in my Jeep. I'm not smelling any gas, seems to be running normal (put a 130 miles on it today driving up and down the coast enjoying a great day.

I will be starting with a new gas cap and keeping my fingers crossed that takes care of the issue!
