Exaust Manifold Replacement

I quickly located the source of the new farm tractor like exaust sound coming from my Wrangler. After only 130,000 miles the exaust manifold finally cracked in the usual spot before the last "Y" connection. I am not interested in blowing $400-500 for a performance header on a jeep that is an everyday driver and occasional trail cruiser. I've found a couple of replacement candidates on the web and want some opinions. Here are the links. As always... thanks for your advice!

I thought of that but wasn't sure if it could or should be done. I guess it would be cheaper.

Yeah, it's cheap as hell to weld it up, but it's not the steel that's the problem on the pre 2000 models. It's a design flaw in how the manifold was made. It can't hand the expansion and contraction that it's put under. Replacing it to a newer style model with the expansion joints on the 1 and 6 tubes is the way to go.

And honestly you don't have to spend a ton of money on it. Do a search for 4.0L Exhaust Manifold on Ebay. Grab yourself the 75 dollar one and slap it on. I've had one on for well over a year now and have had no problems at all with it.

Mine cracked on my '99 TJ. A guy from my club gave me the 2 piece manifold from his 2006. Still haven't installed it yet. I was wondering what I would need besides a "Y" pipe?
