Fan Clutch

I was wondering if anybody else's fan clutch stays engaged for, what seems like to me, too long. I have replace it once, but the replacement isn't much better. It sounds like a C-130 cargo plane for about 15 minutes, then it releases somewhat.

i've had mine burn out on me after a water crossing. so, IMO, id rather have it working too much than not enough. what wrangler do you have (yj, tj, jk)? this is probably a stupid question, but, is it an electric cooling fan?
