I just put red led strips and stuck them to the back wall, then hooked up a switch so I can control when they are on/off

I did take those pictures out of my garage so here you go. I also did the dome light and the gauges in red LEDs.

There's at least 2 different styles of footwell lights.

On mine, the white covers just pop off. I have wedge bulbs but some TJs have screw-ins.

If you have wedge bulbs, the LEDs are polarity specific. ie they will only work one way.
So if they don't work, pull them out and turn them around.

I got these ones in green

Search Results For "921-x12" | LED Products | Super Bright LEDs

But check your bulbs - you may need a different style.

I unscrewed the little lamp assembly (one screw) and cut the wires. I bought some 6 LED strips at AutoZone and wired them up. They came with 3M tape on them so I stuck them on the firewall. Tuck away the wiring and done. Looks great and puts out a lot of light at night when you need to find something.
