I noticed that several have flowmaster exhausts on their 4.0's... but when I went to the flowmaster site, they had nothing for Wranglers... wtf am I doing wrong?
NM they have them for 95 Wranglers... will that work on a 02?
many do have flowmaster "MUFFLERS" on the Jeep 4liters but its is just the muffler not bolt on kit such as BANKS or other companys. you can buy the muffler and have a shop weld it in using the factory exhast pipe, or have them make a pipe for you.
IM not trying to sound like a dick, but it sounds like one of those imports that you see all the asian kids driving. Maybe it just doesnt sound the smae on my computer , i dont know
if my jeep sounds like a rice burner you need to get different speakers. On my speakers my clip with my 2.5" tail pipe is quite deep (i actually wish it was a bit more throaty instead of that deep). With stock piping it sounds crappy though. Try using a nice set of headphones...
Same muffler on my 2.5L with stock tubing sounds nice. When people ask my engine size they ask if I have the 4.0L or if i stepped it up to a V8. Very deep though, could use a little more throat.
there is no way a 4.0, much less a 4 banger, could EVER sound like a V8.
just for kicks, here is mine (vid below). it sounds great, but every time my friend Jeremy cranks up his 5.3 with straight pipes it makes mine sound like a volkswagen.
there is also no way my 4.0 could ever sound like this "V8"
btw, you could always go to a muffler shop and they could hook you up with a flowmaster.
theres a guy in my neighborhood with an older yj and i swear that thing sounds like a small diesel drivin by! i like it, but by the time i get in my jeep to track him down he's gone...maybe he's a jeep god checkin up on me or somethin
when I think of ricer I think of a dodge neon with a 20$ auto zone fart can. If your willing to spend money and have the money you can have a very nice and pretty fast import or 4cyl thats sounds nice. Most the people that put on half painted body kits and fart cans don't have the money for a 500$ magniflow so they stick the fart can on thinking it looks cool and gives it more power wich they don't do anything but make noise.
I appreciate any automobile that is purposefully built. My last vehicle was a Del Sol and my next will probably be an E36 M3. So for me a ricer is really anything that is a ridiculous auto. Usually they consist of some stickers or a large 'performance' modification that is completely worthless.
Examples. Honda Civics with big wings and euro tails- everything else is stock.
Cavaliers with 'induction hoods' and some flame stickers.
Sunfires with a second wing. anything with tips on a factory exhaust.
It's hard to rice a Jeep. Maybe the completely factory wranglers that will never see anything except for crome hardware and a crome lightbar.... and a flame sticker.

P.s. sorry for calling you a ricer, I killed a bottle of Gentleman Jack. It actually sounds quit good, I'd be curious as to what the factory piping sounded like from the same angle, camcorder mics are notoriously directional.
here my brother has this car it's a nice little car and if your willing to spend money it's a nice little car to build up.Or you could turn it into a ricer.I like these cars it was this or a jeep the jeeps more my thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Po1VMeu0KA0
