Flowmaster Super 40

hey, I have an 06' TJ and I am really looking into one of these exhaust systems.. but im looking for some feedback. Just looking around I haven't seen any complaints but I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with these. Any input would be appreciated.

Justin

I'll post here to bump it back to the top of the list. I have been thinking about this too. I have a '97 with the original muffler that is getting quite rusty.....

i went with the banks cat-back, its stainless steel and is a 2.5" pipe rather than the stock 2.25" pipe. it sounds great, have no complaints at all.

I have the Flowmaster 40 Series and I really like the sound it gave my Jeep. It is a lot louder than the stock muffler but it gives a deeper more aggressive sound. I kept everything the same on mine except for the muffler. I just welded it in using the original pipes because they were still good. I know that you will read that you will get more horsepower and better gas mileage, but I did not see a change in either of those things. You should look on youtube and do a search for Jeeps with the Flowmaster Super 40 to find out how it will sound.

The super 40 sounds AMAZING on larger V8's...but I'm not sure how it would sound on the 4.0...could be cool though. If you find any sound/video clips...be sure to post em here for us! lol

i have it. its ok sounds not that great on the 4.0 compared to v8s. its loud though. i did a custom tailpipe so i have dual exhaust on mine making it louder than most. what are you looking for from your muffler. if you just want sound look into magnaflow they have a more throaty aggressive sound. flowmaster is just loud.

i was going more for the sound.. I was planning on replacing the muffler then getting a wider pipe from there back.. I also heard I might see a difference with a magnaflow highflow cat or something like that, i cant remember exactly what it was called.
