Angry Fog Light problem, now battery problem?

I have an 04' wrangler, my fog lights have been malfunctioning (won't shut off) and it drained my battery. I pulled the fuse for the fog lights to disable them and jumped the battery. After being jumped it will only run for a few minutes then shuts off. Is this indication I need a new battery.. or something else all together?

I'd put the battery on a charger overnight, sounds like it's completely discharged. There's a thread on here somewhere that's a how-to to fix the OEM foglight switch, it worked for mine, I'll try to find it.

Edit- here's the link:

I honestly never use the fog lights, is there any harm in just leaving the fuse out?

No harm. Before putting your battery on the charger, make sure you check the water level. If it has been discharged all the way, you may find your charger won't charge it.

Don't start partying just yet. I don't want to "rain on your parade" but there might be a problem down the road with corrosion build up in the main battery busses, that can cause low voltage going back to the battery from the alternater, and a weaker recharge.
