Thumbs down Frame rot!!

im new to jeeps and know near next to nothing but im looking to but a 97 tj from someone . everything on it looks great but i did notice some frame rotted holes. would it be worth it to buy or a waste of money? how much would something like that cost to fix? do i need a new frame? is there a way to patch it or is that prolong bigger problems? im in a bind cause im selling my truck and i would need a vehicle as a daily driver. my buddy told me its not even worth it to buy a jeep with frame rot but i think its a great jeep i just want to know if its a bad idea cause money is a little tight and any problems that could occur might be to expensive to fix. any help would be great!!!

It all depends on what his definition of rot is. It may just be some surface rust around one of the holes that is supposed to be there.
But I agree if it is actually rotted then stay away from it.

ya i didnt think to get pics but the holes are less then dime size and that was the only problem. the underside was completely clean its just had these 2 holes towards the front of the rear tire on the driver side. if its something thats can be driven for a while without something going horribly wrong then thats fine, if its fixable. i just dont see why it would be a bad jeep because of these two holes id rather just fix them if its possible
