Front damage sway bar

hi..

Have some front end damage that broke off my sway bar link. I know I have to replace it, But the damage also pushed back the left side of the bar where the ball is connected about 1/2 in toward the back of the jeep. What kind of problems do you think I will encounter. Can I get by by just fixing the Sway bar

Thanks al

You can drive without a sway bar, or (anti-roll) bar, but the body will have more roll than with it connected so you'll want to remember that going into corners and changing lanes. The ball in your picture I'm pretty sure is a part of the link, but it ripped out. If it were me I'd remove or secure any disconnected parts to prevent them from interfering with other components until I fixed it...

...with an anti-rock from Currie. :P

thanks .. I want to replace it cause Its my DD. I'm just not sure it will fit back since the whole bar is NOT in its original position while the other side of the jeep is fine..

How it works is torsion, so the exact placement of the ends (front to rear) aren't crucial +/- a little bit. As long as the bar isn't pre-loading the suspension or the links/bar hitting anything you'd be fine to replace the link and call it a day if you wanted to.
