Those three bolts that hold the unit-bearing hub to the knuckle are tightened to 75 ft-lbs.

DO NOT.. i repeat DO NOT use red loctite.... otherwise next time you go to replace you'll need a torch.

If your going to use any loctite, use only Blue unless otherwise specified to use red.

He was very obviously kidding with that red Loctite recommendation... no one took him seriously.

yea... I figured, but theres people on here that would read that and probably try it and then months or a year later would be on here saying how do I remove my bolts that I used red loctite on..... so just covering the basis.

dave had a problem with tearing his xj up when he actually did go on a trail.. =p

im sure ill head back the the campsite here and there.. i mean.. we will have 2 full days of wheeling =p

i dont need extra shafts.. didnt have problems the first 2 times i was there.. the u-joints in the tj axle are stronger than the xj axles.. im just bringing the ones i took out of the xj just to have them handy if someone were to break something.. better safe than sorry.. i saw a jeep built like mine last time that broke a shaft at a 45 degree incline.. worst place to change a shaft too =p.. i dont wanna have to catch a ride back the 60 miles to my house or buy new ones there..
