Front suspension spacer/ does this look right?

I was under the front today getting ready to install the front disconnects, and noticed that it looks like an awful long stop inside the coil spring. I measured between the end of the rubber stop and the seat and it came to 3". Isnt the whole idea of using disco's being able to increase your travel? There is a 2" BB spacer on top of the spring. Is the stop inside the coil now supposed to be that long? If not, what do I remove/how?
Thanks!

typically people who install coil spacers run larger tires. Idea of extending the bump stops is so the larger tire doesnt hit the wheel wells if you flex or bottom out. Also, disconnects are more for allowing the axle to drop more rather then come up more. ALLS GOOD IN MY EYES

Well thanks, all sorta makes sense now. Don't forget its been quite a while since I have been in the Jeep scene and I slid past the 50 mark! I hope that doesn't sound like an excuse for my lack of knowledge, I hope it starts coming back to me. haha Thanks!
