Fuel line size

I need to replace the line for my EVAP. the metal line running from the tank up is rotted in entirety pretty much. The existing metal EVAP line just slips into a rubber hose on each side, without clamps, so it can't be pressure.

My question is, what size is this fuel line? I can just get a good length of rubber fuel line to replace it right? It's my DD so I can't just take it apart and see. And the dipshits at the local advance auto (don't get me started with them) wont tell me the fuel line size. They apparently can't look it up either. I asked what the deal was and they acted weird like I was trying to score some crack.
