Fuel pump question

Yesterday my Jeep shut down on me and it just turned over but wouldn't start. Then I let it sit for a little while then it started up. My question is do you think that the fuel pump just going out? It did start up and then it would run for a while but then after it sits there it would do the same thing again. Please help me out with this I'm at a loss.

Cycle the fuel pump 3-4 times by turning the ignition on-off-on several times before attempting to start it next time after it has been sitting over night. If it starts right up after doing that, the check valve in the fuel pump is leaking and letting the gas drain down out of the engine which causes a slow start. The slow start time is how long it takes the fuel pump to get fuel back up from the tank and into the engine.

If cycling the ignition speeds up the start time, it's time to replace the fuel pump which requires the gas tank be dropped.
When you have a choice, buy American.
