Fuel tank vent hard line?????

Folks-looking to replace rusted what I believe is the fuel tank vent hard line. It runs from rubber hose off of top of fuel tank all the way to motor.
Question--can I run jeep with this line off for a day or two while I have hard line bent? should I do anything with either end of rubber hose one by engine one off tank? Thanks!!

a pic might help, with that said I would not reccomend that you run without it. May allow debris into the fuel system.

Yeah, you can run with it disconnected. You will get a CEL though. If you're worried about debris getting in throw some tape on the open ends.

CEL=Check engine light.
I had a broken connector on my evap line and it threw a P055 code.
Luckily it was the one that was near the drivers rear spring and was accessible without dropping the fuel tank.
