Fueling probs

I just went to fill up my Jeep , but the nozzle would shut off after a few cents of gas would go in...I ended up only putting about 10 bucks worth of gas in. If anyone knows anything about this, I'd appreciate the help! My only guess is that it's something stopped up?

Check the hose going from the gas cap to the tank. Its probably kinked.

On my 02 you can pull back a plastic piece to get a visual of the hose. I think its near my rear driver side wheelwell. Yours may be different though.

Also, sometimes different stations' pumps may go faster than others, so if it goes too fast it will think it's full.

Mine does the same thing, you gotta just hold the nozzle about half way in and press the handle about half way and just watch your gas gauge go up. its the speed of the gas going through the pumps. Most likely nothing clogged or anything. just gotta be patient

I just looked at what you're talking about. There's only 2 tubes. One is going straight from where you put the nozzle to the tank, and then there's a smaller one branching off of it going to the tank. Neither is kinked. I think it was because of it pumping faster, like you said. It was also a different gas station.
