Exclamation Fuse Block Label?? '98 TJ 4.0l..anyone know it?

HELP.. Does anyone have a Labeled list of the Fuse Block for a '98 4.0l TJ? I do not have the owners manual to my jeep. I have looked online, at the library and called the dealership. Can't find it.

My fuse Block cover only has F2 through F15, divided into two rows. They do not list what circuit they protect.? Then on the lower end of the cover it acually lists the protected circuit for those relays.

I need to know what F2-F15 covers.

Yeah, I was able to find that diagram too on the web. My Fuse Block is different from this one..wont work for me... Not sure what Model that one's for. I need '98 TJ Sport 4.0l, manual trans.. Mine has two columns across, Seven down and the Fuse location starts with the letter "F". ie: F2, F13.... Below this group the are several relays.
Thanks for trying Sparky...

Are you looking for the one in the engine compartment then, and not the one behind the glove box?

Fuse#5 is the Cigarette Lighter / Accessories
Fuse#11 is the HVAC Unit

That should do it

Follow-up Question

This has been a very helpful thread, but I have just one follow-up question: In the diagram above of the PDC, what are the small micro-fuses for that are next the the Fuel Pump Relay?

For Example: the Wiki says
Quote:
#17 - 10 amp red fuse - HBL Switch
but the diagram shows #17 as a 40 amp fuse. And if they are reffering to the Top column as the first column ... there is no #17.

Not to mention the wiki post disagrees with Wheel2Work's post so I am just confused, what is what?

The first list is for the fuse box behind the glove compartment, the second is the power distribution center under the hood - two different fuse boxes.

Why go by Wiki? Your cover should have the diagram printed right on it.

Owner for 2 days, havent looked at anything except the fact that I need a 3rd brake light, some weather stripping, and a manual ha.

Not sure how the PO got it to pass inspection without a 3rd brake light.

Inspection requirements differ state to state, regions within states and who is doing it. Apparently a lot of locations to not care about the third brake light. NJ dropped all saftey inspections a while ago.

(we have no idea where you are since your profile info does not show up)

Maryland, I'll adjust that now.

MD is notorious for having every law ever made for every stupid ocassion so i am sure it is needed here though I haven't done the research yet.
