Question Garage Pro Reclining adjustable seats?

Hey everyone. I'm thinking of replacing the seats in my 97 TJ and found these Garage Pro seats at JC Whitney for $169. Has anyone used this brand seat or know of any issues with them? The only review I can find of them is from someone who said the back broke on their passenger seat already and they were cheap seats, not just inexpensive seats.
I hope you all can give me some advice.

Thanks!

JC Whitney = Run away as fast as possible as far as I'm concerned. The products they sell are notoriously cheap, and the website descriptions are very misleading on many items. I've gotten stuff from them over the years, and most of it was just plain crap. I won't do business with them anymore after the last fiasco with some motorcycle shocks.

I have searched for info on this name brand and can't seem to find it anywhere but JC Whitney. It's one of the few seat I see that doesn't require me to purchase an adapter. I'd like a seat I can just mount to what's there already. Surely there's some out there somewhere?

JC Whitney sells some junk, but if you've ever heard of the brand/model then its the same product that can be purchased elsewhere. I've had great luck with them.

However I've found by a simple search on google I can usually beat their prices.

Seats

Yes. In a JC Whitney Jeep catolog I just got they have these seats, free shipping, and $169. They are called Garage-Pro reclining racing seats.

Based on the reviews I've read I'd avoid them.

save up the cash and get proper seats.

I don't know anything about these seats.

BUT wanted to agree with this comment. JC Whitney's Bestop stuff (for an obvious example) is exactly the same as what you'd get everywhere.

Has anyone bought seats that didn't have to have adapters or need any fabrication done to them to mount them? I want to be able to put them in myself, and I'm not a beefy boy, so am looking for something easy for me to work with. lol

JC Whitney is notorious for flim flam, cheapie junk, along with some name brand stuff.

They have lots of devices that improve mileage - you can find things not available anywhere else.

I bought them all - DON'T - it's a real PITA - now my mileage is so good I have to stop every 100 miles and drain the tank!

I just installed a pair in my 92 yj. Only been in a couple days, so I cant speak for durability, but they certainly appear rugged. I bought the gray vinyl . They were easy to install, came with the sliders, just bolt them on. I got the reclining seats......paid $180.
ea, free shipping, from JCW. (no sales tax)

I say save your money and buy some Corbeau's. The best aftermarket seat I have ever owned. Comfy and durable.

WOW!!! When I posted my opinion that JCW stuff was junk I got flamed no end. Good to see that at least some folks agree with me.
