Gas pedal hits the floor.

Well as stated this has happened 3 times since Christmas. The jeep would be idling then after a bit you hit the gas but it's on the floor with no reaction to the motor. I picked it back up with my boot and held it there then it resumed working for another week or so. I know my fuel pump is going out due to intermittent fuel starving while driving. So could this be related or something different?

It's in the linkage if you got to lift it back up. You should either be able to see the problem laying in the floor or check the return spring on the throttle body.

Sounds like something sticking occasionally. This is all mechanical. Nothing electrical or computerized about it. If you have to lift the pedal with your foot once a week. Once a week something is binding.

That's the good thing about it is all mechanical but it is odd its not constant. I've looked and havent seen anything yet didn't know if maybe it was a replacement pedal deal
