Gear oil Dana 30?

Quick question:
What type of gear oil should I be running in my front end?

4.56:1, New Mexico climate, Dana 30....

75W-140?

I think 85W-140 might be too thick..

Thanks!

I would use non-synthetic 80W-90.

ARB oil specs:

What´s good for a locker isn´t bad for an open diff.

There's not enough viscosity difference between 75W-140 and 85W-140 to worry about. I run an 85W-140 non-synthetic (from Currie, same as Torco) in both my axles and it's fine. Only if it gets uber-cold where you live in NM might I suggest something like a 75W-120, 75W-140, etc.
