Getting a Gas Cap ECM Code after Body Lift

I keep getting an ECM code that my gas cap is off after installing my 1.25" Body Lift. Is there a safe way to lengthen the stock filler hose or should I just replace it with a longer one? I get that overflow issue that I have been meaning and wanting to fix for a while so I may just order a new hose.

Get the GM hose. It is longer & has the flapper valve to prevent spit-back.

The code is not gas cap specific so if the seal on the cap is good it might be a leak somewhere else. It could even be at the filler hose if it got stretched doing the BL.(?)

I guess it could be actually. I might as well knock out two birds with one stone.
