Which one blew? And no its not the worst thing. Just think of all the people who never put new grease in them. As for a fix, You may be able to buy a new boot to replace the one that blew out on you. How big is the hole?

If you blew a hole in one of the joints it may mean the releif hole was plugged. I do not think you can replace just the boot. They usually come witht he component.

When I grease my front end I pump grease until it starts to come out before stopping.

Maybe it was just the releif hole.

post a pic of what your talking about. The tie rod end boots are replaceable. If it just came out a relief hole I wouldn't worry about it.
