recently i have noticed metal on metal sounding noises coming from what sounds like the transfer case or tranny when shifting from park to drive or any other combo of park, drive, and reverse. (AUTO) Most of the time its a clang when put into gear, but sometimes its more of a grinding noise. Does anyone else have this problem or know what could be causing it. See sig for specs. Thanks
PJ
Had a problem like that in the dodge half ton I just got rid of a year ago. Ended up putting 3 transmissions in it. If it was a dodge truck I would tell you to get ready to take it. I haven't been heavy into the transmission lately except clutches. Last manual I rebuilt was a old Rockcrusher about 10 years ago. Never got into the autos sorry but I bet someone here can give you more and better advise than that of a dodge half ton.
