Hard downshift after fluid/filter change

So I changed my trans filter/fluid on my 03 with 42RLE. Took it out for a drive, ran up to highway speeds... Everything seemed the same, even the slight hesitation into OD that's been there since I bought the Jeep. Slowing down to a stop sign I felt the hardest downshift I've ever experienced in an automatic. It was similar to hitting a pothole. Got out, quadruple checked the fluid (ATF+4) and everything was normal. Any insight on this?

I had the same issue on my '03. Didn't last long. Evidently, the transmission computer has to relearn the shift characteristics affected by the fresh fluid. Others on this forum have reported similar experiences.

Solid. Okay yeah I'd google searched it and saw the same response on the 42rle in the Chrysler minivans (by the way can you believe they have forums?!) but wasn't sure if this marvelous engineering had been applied to Jeeps.
