hard start up at times

i have a 97 wrangler most times it starts right up but there is times it takes awhile to start i have the 2.5 with throttle bottly spacer and airraid filter cleaned both change plugs and wires but still happens is there something i am missing or look for

Since you have a 97 it's pretty easy to pull your error codes. This might give you an indication of the cause of your problem. Check this thread http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/tj-error-codes-358.html it will tell you how to pull your error codes and what they mean.

Code 12 is nothing, that just indicates that the battery has been disconnected/reconnected in recent history.

First, you can remove your throttle body spacer. With the air-only type of throttle body used in the TJ, spacers can't/don't do a thing. Spacers only help when under carburetors and the older style TBI throttle bodies where an air-fuel mixture passes through.

So when does the slow start occur? Only after it has sat a while, like overnight?

yea i kinda figured and i had plan to take spacer off i only put that on cuz was told that would help with hp realy no diffrence but thats the thing when it starts hard its only when like been running then shut off and little bit later come out and this is when it does it when engine is cold it fires right up

Check ur fuel pressure after it's sat awhile
