hardtop on 2006 wrangler x

newbe to the world of wranglers. i was wondering if a hardtop from a 2000 wrangler se has the same electrical connector at the rear of the top as a 2006 wrangler x. i purchased a used hardtop was on a 2000 wrangler se and would like to someday hook up the rear wiper and defroster. i don,t have the wiring harness or the solvent hose is there a harness that i can buy are they the same from 97-06 iam guessing there is a different solvent bottle with two pumps a relay ,switch and fuse any help would be appreciated

I have an 06 x & mine only has one washer fluid bottle that feeds the windshield & back glass. As for the wiring plug there is a difference in year models so I've been told just don't know what years are different

On factory hardtops, the wiring is different. You might be able to rewire them, but I wouldn't be the one to answer that.

Quadratec lists a replacement wiring kit for 01-02 TJs, and another for 03-06.

Any 97-06 top will fit. Mopar has wiring kits as referenced above. Jeepsareus.com ebay and you local dealer sells the kits. You need to buy the kit for your year jeep. The hartop connectors channged in 03. Jeepsareus used to have adaptor kits for the plugs and I have seen posts floating around on jeepforum how to wire the connectors so you do not need the adaptor.

You need the wiring kit for your model year. That includes a single washer tank with two pumps. The '06 harness does not support the dome light mounted in older hardtops. And the connector is different. I think Quadratech makes an adaptor.

You will have three vents! One on each side of the older hardtop, and one in your tailgate. Maybe you will be able to close doors without an extra hard push!
