Hardtop Wiring Help Needed

I bought a TJ with a soft top (2000) and found a hardtop on Craig's list. My TJ had evidence of having a hard top at one time (wiring harness, seal material stuck to the top of the rear bed...). When I hook up the harness to the hardtop I get nothing. No wiper, washer, defroster, or light. Don't hear a washer fluid motor when I hold down the rear wiper switch.

Any ideas where to start trying to figure out what's going on? Thanks!

Checked the fuses and that seems OK - I'll check and clean the harness connection next.

Thanks for the help!

Update in case anyone else runs into this...

The wiring harness connection was fine. I noticed that the switch in the dash (for the wiper) didn't feel right - no solid click to on and didn't seem to move right for the washer. I bought a new switch, changed it today, and now wiper and defrost work! Not sure how a bad wiper switch was keeping the defrost from working...
