Hardtop wiring kit install problem - 2003 TJ

Anyone else installed the hardtop wiring kit from Jeepsareus.com?

I have it in and the defrost switch doesn't seem to work. It came with an extra fuse. A tiny little 10A fuse that wasn't listed in the installation instructions. I'm not sure if this is needed?

on the jeepasuares kit does it use the stock wiring or its own 12 volt source?

Does anyone know what voltage the defrost switch is supposed to see?

I pulled the connector from the back of the switch and it looks like 4.75 V is making it to the switch. If this is the proper voltage then my switch is probably bad. If the switch is supposed to get a different voltage then I have another problem.

The switch pulls power from the instrument cluster apparently. There are wires in the harness that get hooked up to connectors on the back of the cluster. There is also a relay & fuse in the under-hood fusebox.

An extra fuse without holder or an extra fuse wired in the harness of the kit and no where to connect it? I put the kity in my 03 last year. I did not have any extra parts and nothing left unhooked.

It's a small 10A fuse. Nothing shown in the instructions for it and nowhere to put it. I am assuming that it isn't used.

I did pull the speedo and verified that I have the two harness wires in the proper spot on the connector on the back of the speedo. I still would like to find out what voltage the defrost switch is supposed to see. I am measuring 4.75 V but wonder if it should see 12V?
