Hardtop wiring problem

I have a 2001 TJ that I have decided to put a hardtop back on. I purchased a hardtop off of a 2005 and the plugin does not match. Is their a extention you can buy to plug into the harness on the hardtop on one end and the jeep harness on the other end without buying the whole wiring harness?
Thanks for help.

You can swap the plugs without having to splice any wires, and it shouldn't cost more than a few bucks. Here's how: Hardtop wiring: converting plugs to match different years - JeepForum.com

I know this is an old thread but I just used this information and thought I would add my success story. If you follow the link and read the thread it mentions using a Durango seat plug or a Caravan tail light plug. I would add Stratus tail light harness plug to that list. It was an exact match to the smaller late model plug. I just had to pull the pins out of the early hard top plug (2001 hardtop on a 2003 tub) and reinsert into the appropriate locations on the newly unpinned junkyard plug and it was a perfect match. Everything works for a total of about an hour including JY time.
