header

need a header mine is broke and have welded it and now broke again! anyone gotone for sale of the best place to get one ?

eBay has lots of them for sale. Make sure the header you buy has the flexible steel bellows added to prevent breakage... like you see below from an eBay ad.

I dunno what seller I copied that photo from last year but there are probably five or ten sources of headers on eBay that sell that style of header.

what year are you looking for? the one in the pic won't fit after 99, I believe, when jeep went to 2 cats on a 6 into 2 into 1 exhaust.

After breaking 3 of the early non-flex type OE headers that the dealer installed under warranty within my '97 TJ's 36K mile warranty, the dealer finally located and installed the improved version with the flex joints. That one lasted another 134K miles until that TJ was stolen 12 years later.

the junkyard is a good place to pick up a 2000+ late model 2-piece design. much less prone to cracking. have an exhaust shop make a Y pipe and you're done.

Quadratec has that style, its the OEM replacement for 97-99 and comes with upper and lower gaskets, I just paid 185 shipped out the door for it.
