Headers & Exhaust

Anyone have any recommendations on Headers & Exhaust? Was considering Banks. I've been told by a few people to just go with a muffler to avoid leaks that occur with after market Headers...is this true? Has anyone had trouble with exhaust leaks on aftermarket Headers?

Thanks in advance for all replies.

Toby

No idea on the headers, as for the exhaust, anything will do. If you want it to sound nice go with Banks but other than that it wont add much

I have the Banks cat-back. It certainly sounds better than stock. Sound is much improved, performance, not so much. If there is a gain, it is negligible, same with gas mileage.

Cant speak to the headers.

From what I read. Headers are pretty much a waste of money as far as performance gains go. If your stock manifold is cracked, go for it... other wise spend that money somewhere else!

I have headers and it has increased my HP some, but not to much, I am also running flow master exhaust and with the combination of both it gives a nice idle and accelerating sound and a nice POP when down shifting.

Thanks guys...I'm more into performance than sound, so it looks like I'll probably just go with a muffler...flowmaster in all likelihood.

Im confused, from what I understand in this thread, it is that those are all useless in relation to performance. Those things they claim about better HP and all will be negligible and quite useless.
