Heat not hot.

To avoid being part of the flood of threads complaining about heat in the dead of winter hoping I can take car of this now. Heat on full blast is only coming out warmish and I'm not gonna rock a jacket in the jeep till springtime. I flushed the core middle of the summer and got it running out clear. I had some cooling system problems earlier that resulted in gunk in my radiator and what not, so that's all replaced as are those hoses. The hoses to and from the heater core still are gunked up and have a good bit of crunch when I squeeze/flex them.

Overall question: Will running a heater core cleaning solution through it be enough or just replacing the hoses plus a normal flush? Or replace hoses plus cleaning solution.

It may be your blend door stuck open. Are the inlet and outlet heater hoses the same temp.

Never checked. Suppose I'll being doing that tomorrow. Assuming turn it on, let it get up to 210, blast heat for a couple minutes then check?

Very late bump, but both hoses the same temp. Can only hold them for a couple seconds. Air seems to be cooler coming out of the foot vents compared to the ones up top and defroster for what it's worth.

Shameless self bump. Peeked under the dash and the blend door is rotating fine. About 70 out right now and the air is still only warm. Guess I'm making a run to get a flush and a pair of hoses. Any go to brands for the flush?

Edit: Picking up the hoses tomorrow, another $40 I don't have

What's the running temp of your jeep? Is it possible your thermostat is gunked up and stuck open?

Hair below 210 like it's been all summer. Last year (august maybe?) had the radiator, radiator hoses, and water pump swapped out. All gunked up and crunchy. The hoses to/from the heater core weren't replace and even after flushing them with water they still have a buncha $&@@" in em when ya squeeze.
