when your heater core goes out is your divers side the side that has coolant on the floor?

(im a girl ussaully my brother checks out my jeep and make sure its good to go; but im away at school right now)

not sure what to do or what to check

The heater core is on the passenger side. If the drain for the HVAC housing isn't plugged, and your heater core is leaking, it should leak out of the drain, which is under the battery, slightly inboard, coming out of the firewall.

thank you! eveything seems to be fine when i checked under the hood, the jeeps running okay, except for the smell of burning wire after the heat has been running for 5mins

Im not sure what explains the fluid on the driver side.

You did refill the coolant before driving again...right?? Just making sure. Burning smells are not good.
