Hella E-codes H4 housing

Just wondering if anyone has ever took the lens off. Got Halos for Christmas and wanted to install them. I just bought the H4s to do this. The stock ones are so dim. If H4s won't work, what should I use? I only have $120 or so to spend.

Not sure if it will be the same, but I've taken the lens off of a stock JK housing. We put it upright in a cardboard box in the oven for like 10 minutes at 250F (I think) so soften the glue.

HIDs work well in the E-code housings and you could have them in that for half what you have to spend just about. Not sure i'd risk damaging the housings if things didn't go right for halos which youll probably end up taking off not to long down the road haha.
