Hello Everyone! 1st Jeep Owner, New Member, Another Heat Question.

Hi all. I have done a little searching and reading on the heater issues common with the 97 as far as the vacuum and heater control arms and it has been helpful. The upper defrost control lever was broken on mine so I removed what was left of it with a drywall screw and ordered from ebay exactly that. "Upper Defrost Control Lever." Well, It seems to be to short. I had read on a post a while back which I cannot find now about people with the same issue of getting the wrong lever that was not long enough. Anyone familiar with this? Does anyone know where I can get the right part. Was going to try and remove one from one of the other floor vents to see if it would work since defrost is more important than warm feet but seeing that their a pain in the a** to get to and easy to break I figured I should'nt. Other than jerking them straight out of their socket I don't know how to remove them either, and they have the tab on the end to hold them in from the way it looks on the new one I got so any advice on the part, changing them, or removing them would be appreciated. Thanks, Rick
