Help

hello.my name is vlad and i am from romania, east europe.i am new here and i want to say hello to everybody.
i have a TJ 4.0 1997.i have standard wheels and tires.i want to put 33" on it and i have already the spidertrax 1,25 " wheel spacer kit.i have a question.it's absolutely necessary to lift it ?it's better to lift it from the lift kit or body lift kit?i have also the 3" body lift kit but if it's not necessary i don't want to lift it.
please help me with a suggestion.
thank you very much.

welcome,

I would not install a 3" body lift, puts a lot a stress on the bolts. The coil spring lift would be the best way to go assuming its a 3-4" lift at the most. Do you have the complete lift kit or just the springs? Post some pic's if you can or give some more details on the springs and we will do our best to help ya out.

go with a full 3-4" suspension lift to fit the tires. a body lift is cheaper but as said above, there will be too much stress on the bolts. all that wheel spacers will do is keep the tire further away from the frame and suspension parts so that the tires don't rub on anything. make sure that when you get a lift kit that you get everything that you are going to need.

The rims should not be an issue, are they 8" wide? As for the lift. You need a min of 3". So that gives you a couple options.
1. 2" coil spacer and 1" body lift
2. 3" coil springs (other items would be needed, t-case lower kit, maybe brake lines, trac-bar brackets etc.)

Again these will allow you to fit the 33's, It might not be perfect, but it will work. Again depending which option you go with or a bigger lift, you may need other parts to make it all work correctly.

The wheels look like they will work fine without the spacers.I would maybe try to sell or trade the 3" body lift for a 1" or 1.25" BL and the wheels spacers I would sell.Unless you know someone with a trac bar bracket or transfer case drop kit that needs wheel spacers.Never the less for 33s you will need at least 3"s of lift.

thank you very much.already mounted 33'' with wheel spacers.it's rubbing on fenders.i will put the coil spring because the right one on face it is softer than the right i guess..because the space on left is bigger than the right.after that...should i buy also shocks?something longer or i could take the old ones?i
i will put some pics on the weekend.
thank you vey much guys.
