From the way it sounds I would start by looking at fuel pressure, see if you have the test port on the fuel rail.

Another vote for fuel pressure. Sounds like it can't hold it long enough to keep the car running.

fuel pressure should be in the range of 45-49psi.

I agree on the fuel pressure but I just had a similar problem with my battery... Have you let it set for any period of time? Replaced the battery? Or anything along those lines? If so I would recommend to get it tested and if it passes and does fine, then it may be the ECU needs to re-learn the pattern of the idle. That is what happened with mine, my battery died for a few days and lost the pattern of the correct idle.

I replaced the battery about 6 months ago. Someone told me to reset the ecu which I haven't done yet.
Sweet I'll check the fuel pressure tomorrow am.
One of my buddies also suggested that it couldn't be spark plugs

If you trickle a little gas in the throttle body, will it crank and run a few seconds?

How much water are we talking about? Some is normal, what does the oil look like? Has it been overheating?

Usually, high amounts of water/coolant coming out of the exhaust is a sign of a cracked head. Idk if this would cause your problem though

ya i dont think its related either. i can tell u i hooked up a code read to the car and the car output error code p1389 which i believe its becuz i pulled outthe ASD relay which i thought that was the ECU fuse. guess not.
which fuse is the ECU?
also i turned it on this morning and it stayed on for a while in park the second i put it in reverse to take it out for a drive revs hit low and cut off.

this really sounds like the ECU to me... i am no mechanic and don't know a whole lot but it definitely isn't fuel pressure, a cracked black would not start as well as it sounds yours is starting, and it not holding up i feel would just be the ECU not remembering where to hold the idle at, so it just stops trying to hold the idle in all. what i would try would be to hook it up to another car, running, through jumper cables like you're trying to jump start it. leave it with the second car running, and your car off for a few minutes, then start yours, hold the idle at about 2 or 3000 rpms for maybe 30 seconds, and see if it will stay idling, while STILL connected to the second car. my battery wasn't but maybe 9 months old when this happened with me. try to do that and tell me if it helps. good luck!

I had the exact same problem last week, stranded an hour and a half from home with a 2 year old and 2 week old baby. Turned out to be the chip in the key went bad. Used my original key from the factory and it's fine now, no further issues. Good luck
