Help E-Brake Line

I am having problems with my e-brake line snapping. I have a Ford 8.8 rear end, and I have the e-brake line attached with steel cord and u-bolt connectors. When I pull it hard enough to hold the Jeep on a hill it snaps. Does anyone have any ideas how I could do a better setup???

line lock is a solinoid that closes of the rear brake lines and only alows the front brakes to apply. It allows for some sick burn outs. If thats what your talking about?
