help i have no clue

ok where to start i have 2 problems and am clueless as to both now. First problam is high idle the engine in park is idling at around 2500 rpm and will go down to about 1500 when in drive. Now ive done all the reserch i can do on here and all i keep seeing is vacume leak problems ive done all the vacume checks that i could do around manifold and intake also hoses. I was told on a nother forum to try to change the idle air motor and the colant temp sensor so changed those and still doing it. Please help im lost and my baby is stuck in a garage becuase of this. Ok next problem is kinda amusing but lost as to why it would do this when i hit the brake the left turn signal is coming on? Ya my buddy kept asking me why i was using a turn signal on the trail when i wasnt. Thanks for reading up on the thread and any help would really be awsome.

Have you checked to see if it has any codes for the RPM issues? As for the turn signal I would guess a bad ground wire some place.

Clean out your throttle body and verify that the throttle cable isn't sticking. Maybe inspect and clean the idle air passage.

As for the brake lights and blinker problem, I just worked on an XJ with the same problem. Turned out to be a bad ground.
