Hello all, I discovered a random wire and plug dangling underneath the driver side dash near the brake pedal (to the left of it). The wire has a red strip on it and it's grounded to the Jeep. Additionally, there's a solid black wire grounded in the same spot which runs up to that plug I mentioned as seen in the attached pictures. I'm trying to figure out what the plug is for and what would be plugged into it. As well as what that wire should be plugged into. I did try inserting the wire into the plug but the ends are no match. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading! G.R.
Thanks for the info. That's makes sense. There is a switch for Fog lights, however, my TJ did not come with any. I just checked the switch and there are no wires currently connected to it. I'm guessing there would be some type of wiring running from the spade terminal to the switch?
Also, what about that wire? Do you think that goes to the switch as well?
