OK night crew:
There have been 2 cases in the last month where I went to start the jeep and it cranks but does not start. Both times I tried again in about 15 minutes and it started and ran fine.
Yesterday my jeep was starting and running fine. Today after sitting overnight it just cranks and will not start no matter how long i wait.
When I turn the ignition on I can here the fuel pump click click click.
When I turn the key all the way forward it just cranks.
Installed a new CPS hoping that was it and it was an easy walk to the parts store. The old one had a good amount of debris stuck to the magnet.
Put a multimeter on the battery with the jeep turned off and it reads at 12.38 volts.
Tried switching around relays for the asd, fuel pump etc that are the same with no result.
So from my reading I am not getting spark, compression or fuel?
How do I test the spark with the coil pack? Alternatively how do I test fuel?
After trying to start it I opened up the TB and could smell a hint of gas so I'm assuming that means there's fuel?
It's a 2004 4.0 Auto LJ, and when I do the key dance for codes it does not display any codes
