What do you want to do with it? I dd a 2000 with ~5" of
lift and 35" tires but I doubt most other people would want to
do that.

5-6" takes more than a grand because there is alot of other stuff to do once you get to those heights. Personally with your budget and what you plan to do with it I would do a 2" budget boost lift and a 1.25" body and then look around for a descent used set of 33" tires. That will look and preform well and could be done with your budget.

5 or 6" is huge for a jeep that wont see much offroad. Why do you want to lift it, is it for looks?

if youre going mainly fr looks get an economy lift kit. $600 for 4" just get an adjustable track bar.

3" BL is way to much IMO. 1-2" is ok.

Do you have a 4cyl or a 6cyl TJ? With bigger tires it will become sluggish.

Is your 1K budget just for the lift or tires as well?

If its a TJ you have then its an INLINE 6, not a V6 As far as loud exhaust, one of the magazines like JP or Petersons 4wheel did an entire comparison on their website (i forget which one did it) of all different types. I personally ran a Banks cold air intake, Banks Torque tubes and a Banks monster exhaust. it sounded nice and deep, but it wasnt very loud. It will be difficult to make your motor sound like a V8 block.

got the all of it a couple yrs back so im sure its went up but i gave like 1100 for all of it. my friend helped me out and gave me a discount so he said. The thing about it is i wish i had got the long arms instead of the short.
