Help, please??

These are the "manual and throttle levers on throttle lever shaft"... I took them off to remove valve body but can't get them back on now that I'm done.
Can any kind Jeeper tell me/take a picture to show how far down the shaft they go?

Would a heat gun on the outer parts help them fit??
