Help Re-aligning Headlights

Hey guys, I installed a set of the Silverstar Headlight replacements last week. They work great and are definitely much brighter. The only problem is that I think they are shining too high. Any proven methods for re-aligning your headlights to the correct height?

What is the magic setting they are supposed to be set to?? Set in? Straight ahead, pointed out?? Intersect at so many feet?? How are they actually supposed to be set??

they are supposed to be almost flat and a little to the right. more detailed..

Driver side headlight should be pointing a tad down, and a tad to the right

Passenger headlight shoud be pointing a tad bit down, and a tad to the right, but more straight than the driver side.

The idea is that you can see the curb on the passenger side better at night (Suppose to right the passenger curb not the middle line) and so that you never blind another driver.

If you are aiming them yourselves, just pull up about 15-20 feet from a wall. Far enough where you are not right ontop of it, but close enough where you can still see the "circle beam." Next, aim both light where it looks to be perfectly flat and striahgt ahead, then go back and turn them 2-3 turns of the screw down and to the right. They should look almost flat and straight on the wall, but if you look at the lights and seat level they should not be pointing at yours eyes.

Or you could just go to any authorized state inspection station and have them machine aligned for like 20 bucks

have a good one... -Jason

Just go to any small local garage and ask them to aim your headlights. If you take the bezels off for them before you get there and all they have to do is pull it up to the chart and twist the screws, they shouldn't charge more than ten bucks or so. At least then you would know they were dead on.

If you didn't change the alignment, they should be aimed the same as your stock lights. They are much brighter, so, you may be getting flipped off by other drivers because they are not used to that intensity. imho

Yeah, I didn't change the alignment, but I figure that while you're screwing in the new lights, depending on the torque of the screw, you can accidentally change the angle. I did have drivers flashing their lights at me after I put the new ones in. So I think they might be a little high.
