so to me it sounds like it is starting to give him a little steering wheel wobble at 55
if it is death wobble he would most likely have to slow down or stop before the jeep stops shaking which will also scare the $#!*& out of you and he would probably have to change his pants after that
it sounds like you asked a question then answered your own question in your own post.
Tire wobble and death wobble are 2 completely different situations. Tires do not cause death wobble. They can wobble which will find the weak spot of your front end and point out your death wobble. But it is not the fix for it.
And a wobble at 45 is not the same wobble at 55. They are usually 2 different problems.
