help with p-0016 code

Check engine light came on today and i did the turn on the ignition thing 3 times and this code popped up. i was messing around with a 1" MML but i decided i didnt want to use it because i didnt like the look. so i took it out. and then the code came on. everything went smooth, everything lined up. i was thinking with all the jacking of the engine a sensor might have been damaged. any help and ideas for solutions would be great

"ENGINE CODE P0016-CRANKSHAFT/CAMSHAFT TIMING MISALIGNMENT"

Check the crankshaft position sensor. Its located on the bell housing of the transmission on the driver side. Make sure its connected and not lose.
