Hit today by car. Any damage?

Alright so I was going down a side street today why has a could of other streets leading on to it from the right side, they was a car stopped at the sign and waiting for me to go past. Well I don't know I this guy was in a hurry or what but started coming out while I was still going by infront of him, and I don't know f it was karma or some high power but he smacked his bumper ( mind you this was like a camry or something like that) right on to my rear right tire and not even in the rim just the side rubber part.

He couldn't have been going more than five or so cause I was right in front of him but my question is could there be any damage to my jeep? I looked it all over while I was there and saw no body damage, tire and wheel looked fine. His bumper was all cracked and stuff. So when I got home (about 1/2 mile up the street got out looks all over it again went under and ever thing looked normal. It drove fine going home and later that night when I went out to eat ( no swerve or wobble in it)

So cold there be any damage or am I cool here? Thanks!

proofread your posts next time, that was a nightmare. As for your question, yes there could be damage but i doubt it. main damage that i would worry about would be control arm or track bar.

I got lost there. If it still drives fine, then run it till wheels fall off.

you should be fine. if jeeps tires and axles can handle boulders and such it can definitely a freaken camry. as long as it drives ok you should be fine.

Wow, tough crowd.

No, it's very unlikely that there's any damage. The stresses on a tire and suspension of hitting a pothole at 40mph are more significant than the stresses of a plastic bumper with a styrofoam insulator hitting a rubber tire at 5mph. If there's no wobble and nothing visible, then there's no damage. Just keep an eye on the sidewall for the future.

Don't mind them. Haha, froim the sound of it your jeep is fine. Just keep an eye on it. Next time try to get the car to hit your fenders, so you can get tube fenders.

You should have backed up and crawled onto his hood, that'll teach him to pay attention when a Jeep is around!

Get the alignment done, also I would put it on a lift and run her check for rear wheel whable you could bend the rear axle shaft! I would check this before you finish with the insurance company!
