Hitch

Hey guys and gals....where is the best place to get a round tube class 3 hitch? Santa is bringing me a little utility trailer and I need a hitch.

Not sure what you mean by round tube hitch. Are you talking about a rear tube bumper with a built in receiver hitch. Or a receiver hitch that instead of being square tubing is round?
Keep in mind that a TJ is not rated to tow much weight. They can get real squirrely real fast.
I purchased a Smittybilt rock bumper with a built in receiver off of Ebay for around $100 delivered. However with most receiver bumpers they are not rated for towing, only receiver accessories up to 300 to 500 pounds depending on manufacture.

Try a search for Curt or Hidden Hitch. I got mine from JC Whitney, I see they have free shipping thru midnight but shop around.

I have the hidden hitch and like it. It took no more than 15 minutes to install it and feels very solid. I have a 6x8 utility trailer and it tows nicely. Havent tried the boat yet (17ft bass boat roughly 1000 lbs combined with trailer.)

Uhaul installed one on mine for only about $20 more than I could buy one for.

have the hidden hitch but beleive the jeep is rated at 2K. if you tow anything, keep it short-not much of a wheel base on these things and w/o trailer brakes(which most trailers that are pullable by a jeep will not have) you start to sway, could get interesting real fast with no way to correct it. have had(have) several travel trailers with different tow vehicles and have had my share of fun. with a utility trailer, keep the load balanced(side to side and front to rear-though you will want some tongue wt on it)

Where are you located in SC? I have a Curt hitch I just took off my 98 when I replaced my bumper. It mounts to the frame below the bumper. It is rated for 4000 lb trailer total wt and 400 lb tongue wt. I get down to Lumberton occasionally if you are interested. If you are near an Agri-Supply they carry it for ~125 I think. I would take 50 if you want it.
