Question How do I adj. the brakelines after a 4" lift?

I just recently installed a 4" lift into my wrangler and I need some advice on adjusting the brake lines. I was told that I didn't need to buy the extentions and that I could just move them down slightly. After putting in the lift kit and evalutaing the situation I have no idea how this can be done. Any advice?

I didn't even touch my brake lines after installing my 4 inch lift. Are they really tight right now?

mine pulled tight at full flex. (4 in RC lift) I heard that YJ front hoses are a direct replacement and are longer. I just ordered longer SS hoses from 4WP. the new frame mounts were crap but the hoses are fine.

you could just unbolt the retaining clip alongside the frame this way there a little more slack in the line. My kit came withlonger lines so i didnt have to worry.

Yj hoses are a direct replacment that will give you about 4 extra inches compared to your TJ hoses. I have a set of SS lines to if you would like to buy them also.

You disconnect that little bracket, then drill and tap the frame about 1.5" lower. I did it to mine. I have a picture, but I can't get to it from work.

i put longer lines on mine when i did the re 4.5" lift, which turned out to be more like 5.5". i put 22" in the front and 24" in the back. brake lines are cake just make sure to bleed the system really well when your done. i ended up having to replace my rear wheel cylinders too because the bleed screws were seized and i broke them off. EVEN IF ALL YOU DO IS FRONT LINES YOU NEED TO BLEED THE REAR TOO, its just a safety thing.

if your gonna buy new ones why not spend the money on longer stainless steel ones. They should only be around 50 a pair

i have to many protects going on at the same time lol. so if i can do the cheap way for right now and get a away with it and replace with a factory one that works for me. but thanks for telling me about the steel's when the rig becomes a full time buggy thean it will get the best of everything.
