How do you remove part of the dash?

Did a search but must not be using right words. Does anyone know how to remove the panel that contains the rocker switch with the overdrive switch. I want to install an additional rocker switch for some winshield lights.

You can find it with a search using the right words...but beats the heck out of me what those words would be.
Anyway remove the plastic vent on the top of the dash where the defrost blows through. Best I recall it just pulls up and out. You will then have access to the bolts that hold the piece in you are looking for.

It's not you guys, the search function on this site sucks.(Sorry WF, you still rock ). If you're talking about the part of the dash covering the climate/fan knobs, like said above, you pry up the vent cover along the inside of the windshield. You'll see a couple of screws, remove them. Remove ashtray and there's another screw behind it, remove. The large plastic piece (called a dash bezel) pulls straight off.

I can't remember what the post is called, but you're looking for a thread in the electronics section on how to replace a radio. Seeing as you have to remove all that stuff to get to the radio, that will be your best bet.
