MY fan motor on my 97 jeep tj is going out and i am wondering how hard it is to access it to change it. Im assuming that it is reachable from somewhere inside of the cab but im not exactly sure of where it is, or how difficult it may be to change.
I could certainly use some direction here if anyone has replaced theirs or has any info about it. The jeep has an automatic tranny with factory air.
thanks in advance
i checked the link you provided and it explains everything to troubleshoot and fix the problem very clearly so thanks very much for the info. its wonderful when a consumer can get such vital info thru the forums like this and it sure does pay to get on here and ask when in doubt thats for sure.
thanks
after reviewing some of the posts on this issue, i pulled out the fan motor which was pretty easy, and it tested out ok and i eventually found the problem to be my fan switch itself. if i tap on the fan switch inside of the jeep on the ac controls with it on high it starts blowing so i know now that i have a fan switch going out. for now i can make it work with a simple tap until my new switch comes in. just wanted to mention the problem in case anyone else may be having similar troubles.
